Join us at the No-Fly Zone Parking Lot for a competition of the grills!
Important Information:
- A 10 x 10 tent will be provided for this event as well as a BBQ pit and trashcan.
- Rooms will be provided for anyone cooking overnight.
- Each team/individual entry will provide meat.
Team/Individual Entry:
Teams may compete in one of more if the following:
- Brisket
- Ribs
- Chicken
- Open Category (Chef's Choice)
MWR will specify required meat quantities at the competitor briefing.
Cooking Rules :
- All meat must be cooked on site the day of the competition.
- No pre-cooked or pre-smoked meats allowed.
- No open ground flames or fires grills/smokers ONLY
- Teams must follow all fire and safety regulations within the No-Fly Zone.
- Food safety standards must be followed at all times.
- Gloves required during food handling will be provided.
- Terms must keep areas clean and remove all trash at even event end.
- No alcohol permitted for competitors during cooking.
Judging Criteria :
Entries will be scored on:
- Appearance (presentation & Visual appeal)
- Taste (flavor balance & seasoning)
- Tenderness/texture
- Overall impression
